You need any BMW DME/ECU with a Bosch part number that ends in 413 or 506. They can be found in cars with M50TUs and S50s. e34s and e36s.

Silver label vs red label is not an issue unless you want to run your motor on the stock chip, which is not recommended anyway.

We have stock EWS delete chips for the M50TU and S50 (if you get a silver label box and don't want to pony up for a performance chip) and performance chips for a number of different motor combinations.

PS: I will sell you an NA chip to run your car now then take the cost off the price of a custom turbo tune later on.

TRM may have a charge pipe and intercooler kit for the e30/M50 at some point also. If you (or anyone reading this) would be interested, let me know. Interest from people other than me will speed the development process a lot.

So, Matt, am I hearing you clearly? If I buy the stock/non-EWS chip for the E34 ECU that will come with this motor, you will allow me to bump to a turbo chip later, for the difference of price?

Will you put that in writing? Do you take Visa/MC over the phone?

What kind of HP/TQ am I going to expect from your chip? 91 octane, 7K redline, ebay longtube headers, all stock otherwise.

        Is there a R3V discount?

I think you guys have me convinced.

        Now, about those fitment issues?

        Closing SOON!

You are 100% clear. To break it down: $100 now buys a non-EWS chip that will run your motor NA as stock. If you go turbo later, a custom tune for your turbo setup costs you $550 and the old chip back. (Regular price $650, dyno time on your end not included)

Yes, I will put that in writing. :p No credit cards over the phone right now, we use paypal through the site, which is secure. Of course you can mail a check also, if you're nervous about sending CC info over the web.

Gains: From a stock chip, 0 hp but your car will run. From a performance chip, around 10hp peak, greater area under the curve, and a smoother running car.

It actually depends on a lot of things. Under incorrect dyno testing circumstances, we've seen gains as low as 1-3hp. Tested correctly, much higher. I'm still working on putting together some dynos that actually mean something... we've collected a lot of data, but not a lot of it can actually be compared directly. A lot of it is apples and oranges.

No r3v discount at this point, but I will do free shipping with the coupon code R3VSHIP. I will do a discount on chips through the group buy, but there hasn't been a lot of interest there. The EWS delete chips are on the site.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Sweet, Curt. That is the one I don't need any special chip for, right? Gonna work on this single VANOS E34 motor, right?

I will hit you up in a week or three.

                Luke
