    Can anyone suggest a good clutch kit for my 1993 3.0 m50 with the e36 trans

    Did it start life as a 2.5 and you rebuilt it?

    <300 hp non m3 e30 single mass flywheel with non m3 e30 or e36 (e36 is a little lighter) clutch. e30 flywheel requires e30 clutch slave.

    >300 hp e36 m3 clutch and flywheel. Larger diameter pressure surface.

      Horsepower has nothing to do with clutch sizing. It's all about torque. If you're even coming close to 200ftlbs, I would not use a 228mm clutch.

      I would not use any 325i (e30 or e36) clutch/flywheeel with anything besides a stockish 2.5l.

      There is a good reason BMW equipped all the other S50/M52/S52 with a 240mm clutch and flywheel.

        I picked this one up and paid ~$70 to switch to a sprung hub disc. It revs nice and has never slipped.

            That Fidanza piece looks quite a bit like the UUC job I have - same concept too to switch to the M5 disc. Good find. If I didn't have a flywheel piece already, I'd grap one of those too.

            Does it use the M5 pressure plate, or the M3 one?

            What pressure plate & disc setup did you go with?

            How many miles have you logged on the setup? Impressions?

              I was looking through the Fidanza site and found some pics of the a flywheel that said UUC on it. So I am impressed to believe they make the UUC and it gets reboxed. I love the clutch, at first it was really twitchy and I killed it a few times, but after getting used to it and breaking it in it is good now.

                My engine was rebiult by Dinan and stroked to 3 liters [before I bought it so i don't have any real info]. I am using the stock dual mass flywheel. I do have my old e30 flywheel and starter but I think I want to keep the heavier flywheel to keep the enging idelling smoothly. So I'm thinking a sachs kit [stock?] will be adequate.
