I understood and knew for sure that I was correct. I just told you where to find your proof but apparently you wanted someone else to do all the work for you.

thank you!!! for understanding, and for going out of your way to look for an answer. more people should follow your lead and only post if they know for sure what they say is correctHere's some info that may or may not be of help:
"The big six 240mm flywheel and clutch won't fit inside the Getrag 245 or 240 bell housing without machine work to clearance the bellhousing. Or you can buy a 240mm clutch & flywheel from metric mechanic that will fit inside the G245 bell housing. Your other option is to use a 228mm flywheel & clutch but it will only hold about 225 ft-lbs before it slips, so you'll need a heavy duty clutch."

The guy is just trying to make sure it's been tried and failed, and not just misinformation like a lot of the stuff in this forum is. Nobody specifically said they have tried it and it didn't work. Everyone chillax

You sound so sure its gonna work, so go do it. Don't criticize the people who are trying to help you for trying to help.you're funny. look a my first post, i'm asking if it will, because i dont know. that guy assumes since the bellhousing is made for a 228mm, you cant fit a 240mm, well that is a bad assumption, because the 260 is made for a 228mm, but fits 240mm just fine.
how do you know a 240mm clutch wont fit in a g240? i believe you, i'm just curious. i'm just trying to minimize misinformation on the forums. personal experience is infinitely better than "oh i think i read somewhere, or my friend told me..." :DLeave a comment:

if you don't believe me go look on m42club or better yet try and fit one in there yourself. Yes the Getrag 260 was made for a 228mm setup but the bellhousing is large enough to fit the 240mm. The Getrag 240 is a much smaller than the getrag 260.you're funny. look a my first post, i'm asking if it will, because i dont know. that guy assumes since the bellhousing is made for a 228mm, you cant fit a 240mm, well that is a bad assumption, because the 260 is made for a 228mm, but fits 240mm just fine.

No way your gonna fit a 240mm setup inside of a 228mm bellhousing with the starter in there also.Leave a comment:
