      Don't know why you'd have trouble with the re-threading of the sensor. The original threads are 14mm, so by filing off the existing threads you take it down to about 12mm. Using a die in a die holder it will go right onto the brass body and cut the 12x1.5 threads very easily. Only issue is to make sure the die is going down the body of the sensor straight but that's not hard to do...
