All of this discussion was covered back when I posted a copy online but I'll say again what I said then - if your knowledge is superior to what is contained in the CD, wonderful, but what does that have to do with how useful it is to someone who knows nothing about the swap? And since when is it a bad idea to have more information than necessary, instead of less? If you don't end up using it, good for you! I did, I know others who did, and tons of questions and problems which are posted here (sometimes by those who say the CD isn't necessary) are covered in the CD. Dismiss it at your own peril/waste of time/waste of $.

I agree with bigd. One of the mods from this section should clean up and then probably lock the sticky thread.
I personally did all my own research and basically got the whole thing bolted together from memory. I had some questions about wiring but the only things that did not work were the diagnostic reset thing, the mpg gauge and the oil level sensor.
If you take your time, you can make it ALL work pretty easily with out the cd.
Research and gather parts before you start taking things apart. If you need help with something, search this section and you should come to an answer. If not bump up an old thread thats related instead of just posting up a new one. Itd be so much easier for new people if all the information about a topic was in one or two threads.

1. CD is cheap.
2. Buy it from Zion... as activation is only good for one comp.
3. I'm glad I used CD in my swap. All part numbers are listed there. Steps are well organized for the most part. Guys are very helpful when you call them with a question. As with anything else, use your judgment if something is not necessary.
4. I got 95% of swap done with info from the CD.
5. As it was mentioned above a lot of times your question will be answered by: "WTF, use the F..ing Search" instead of just saying "Green wire connects to yellow wire". So you will have to take shovel and dig through TONS of BS and hope you found the right info when you could have it all handy...
