    HELP! Re: E32 735 Master Cyl&Booster

After browsing the forum trying to find an answer about boosters/masters, I just bought a master cylinder and brake booster from an E32 735 for my S50 swap from ebay for $80 shipped. After looking at the piece and looking at another local swap that used a 2002 brake booster, I don't see how it will fit. Is this the right one? I don't see any #s other than the Lucas. HELP! This is supposedly the same master as the E34 M5 and 325iX that people advise as being the hot setup?

    the M5 / 735i P# is 34331160625, andn the ix / 735i is 34331161486.

I have no idea what that's from. 34331160575 doesn't show up anywhere I can search. Maybe it's aftermarket? AFAIK all OEM boosters are Girling.

After looking at Ebay pics, I think the one I have is really from a 740 and not the 735 as advertised. Shit, I am tired of sending stuff back! Is it true that the 735 has the same master cyl as the E34 M5 and the booster from the ix?

looks alot like an IX booster. if its the same then you need a e34 M5 master cylinder. dont get the 735 as it wont fit. i went though it.

?? So, I might have the right booster, but need a different master cyl? Help? I found this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=008
From the pic though, I can't tell if it is different than what I have.

BTW: I finished putting in the specE30 suspension today. I think it will do well on the street. I can't wait to see what my 250whp/220wtq S50 will feel like in this car!

Will I have to shave or grind the fins on the intake manifold?

that is the 735 booster/mc. i just pulled one a few weeks ago for my swap. i recognize it by the extension bracket behind it. Now, is that braket required for the e30 or will that shaft be too long if its not used? idk, i wouln't want the booster half way into my engine bay.
                      No more e30s for me.

What about the 735 mastercylinder doesn't fit? Just curious, I know its different PN. It bolted up just fine, is it in the way of the throttle body or something?

^^ i tried installing the 735i booster/mc on friday and you do need the mount/extension from the 735i becuase the booster won't bolt up otherwise. + the shaft in the back is much longer than the IX's.

meaning that the boosters are NOT the same. shafts are different, mounting is different. i guess IX boosters are better suited

Mk, with the stock end bolted to the 735 MC, mine fit, and everything bolted up, but I don't have the brakes bled yet, nor do I have the motor in yet.
So glad the 735 setup should fit, that's what i'm understandin from your post.
                            Thanks for answer the questions.

By bracket, you mean the piece between the firewall and the backside of the booster? I just hope that the booster will fit under the manifold, I can modify the shaft easily enough.
