found a sweet project car, need your input.

I have a good friend who is willing to sell me a clean 1986 318i (m10) for 600 bux, and he will throw in a 84 325e fully stripped (weights about 2000 lbs)..

So i'm thinking of doing the s52 obd1 swap in the 86 318, but i don't know if it is possible? I know the older bmws use smaller diff cases? Would I not be able to use a later model e30 diff?

    Thanks,

    -Abe

Yeah, while your searching, see if you could find out how to make the exhaust clear the control arm bushings. I can't for the life of me find any info on that.

Oh oh oh..... quick one, also, what engine mounts shoild I use for this as I'm also doing a swap on an 85 318i.

              TIA,

              Farbin

I heard non-vanos motors are better? How much better are they?

The non Vanos motors are real stout. They love to r3v! If you ever tear one down, do yourself a favor, and check out how BEEFY the rods are.
