    S50 Cruise cable connection

My problem is getting the stock 90 325i cable to work, there has to be a better way than ghetto vacuum hose and collars. Do we know which cable will work nicely to set up cruise on my s50 e30?
The stock e30 cable doesn't slip into the rubber grommet at the bracket on the TB, and it's too long, if I modify it, I would worry about the cable catching, and sticking the throttle open. The cruise cable just sits idle while the main cable is pulled during normal driving.

Can the e36 cable be made to work?
    What did you use?
    Thanks

Dont mind the dust. This was during body work!

Shortened the stock cable and re died the end. Used the stock end. Gotta love it. Works like a charm and has done so for about 6 months.

instead of poking fun of others solutions, maybe you should contribute something. figure out a better solution and post it up.

i did the same as So_Live, ex i didnt rethread the collar, i just put a small shaft coupler on the wire with two screws and it holds fine.

I thought there may be a stock cable that could be connected nicely.
For the throttle cable I used the stock e30, but cut the metal rod part, shortened it, and tack welded it back together. But this cable fits into the e36 bracket nicely.
I'll check into the e34, and older e36 cruise cables to see if they may work.
