What's the deal with engine mounts...

...besides the fact that I will need them. Attached is the picture of my mounts, they are p/n 11811132793.

I have seen discussion of green mounts, grey mounts, black and hockey puck mounts.

What's the difference between them all?

    Which is best?

    Are mine Ok?

Wrong mounts will give you issues fitting engine to mounts. I had (have) this problem ("Engine mount help! Dont know what I have..." post), and have been mislead with parts info by suppliers here in AUS. There may be a few other issues, elongating cross member holes, etc, that you may or may not run into. I -think- you have the right mounts by looking, but get a reply from someone that's done it.

The color don't mean jack, just the shape, you have the right stuff. I've seen these in green, grey and black (all with the same P/N [793], directly from BMW). Mine are like yours, fit like a condom.

The studs on the E28 535i mounts are offset. Those don't look to be from the pictures.
