ok i think i have this all wrong.... i have 3 grounding straps in the bag with all my valve cover hardware. 2 skinny ground straps and 1 fatter ground strap, all 3 are pretty short like 3". now i cant remember where these straps go, i thought that the 2 skinny ones connected at the valve cover and to the coil, but now that i think about it i seem to remember the straps connecting one coil to another.... what am i missing here?

Short answer... it doesnt really matter.

The coils ground through the harness. I have run thousands of miles with and without the ground straps and never noted a difference.

the coils also ground through the valve cover. OBDI covers only use one ground strap all the way up against the firewall and OBDII covers use two ground straps, one on each end. it really doesn't seem to matter. Like Matt, i've run a few different configurations and can't seem to tell the difference between any of them
