    fuel line return/supply q?

ok, i searched, and came up with conflicting answers, so which line is the supply and which is the return on the engine?

black hardline that goes to FPR on firewall side is: ?
silver hardline that goes to front of fuel rail on radiator side is: ?

also, which line on the body is supply/return. i should have marked those, but was to eager to tear the m20 out... fuel lines on body are stacked top and bottom coming into the engine bay...thanks in advance!

The middle hardline is the feed, the bottom one is return (when looking down on the hardlines at the frame rail). The FPR hardline goes to the return, the front hardline is the feed to the rail.

black hardline that goes to FPR on firewall side is: RETURN
silver hardline that goes to front of fuel rail on radiator side is: FEED

      as far as body lines:
Feed: Follow the lines coming from the fuel filter.
Return: (bottom line of the 3)
      Cannister/Vent:

^^ if you know 2/3 the one left is the one you're missing.

                Okay, dumbass question here.

Apon final assembly, I realize I'm missing the "hardlines" that run underneath the manifold and up to the fuel rail. How stupid would I be to run the rubber lines from the body directly up to the fuel rail/regulator?

should be fine, the M20 (atleast mine) was like that.

It's fine to do that on the M50 also, but it's nice to be able to pull the lines off at a convienient place under the manifold if you ever need to pull the motor.

searched this to find my answer to the body hardlines (which is feed, which is return)... may be stupid question but I dont see a fuel pressure regulator on my s52. is it built into the rail??

It's built into the chassis on OBD2 cars, located under the driver's feet. You need to get and install an OBD1 fuel rail with FPR.

fml. should start and run without one or not so much? Not sure if it just keeps the pressure in the lines for when the car is shut off, or does it actually control the amount of pressure while it's running?

edit: I have a good m20 one, but just read it's 3.0 bar and not 3.5 bar like it should be. If it's not one thing it's another. ef.
