Clarification on Temp vs. Coolant Sensor

Sorry, searched but no luck. Which sensor is the DME temp sensor, the "Engine Coolant Temp Sensor" #13 or "Temperature Sensor" #15?

Is the naming scheme the same for the E30 sensors also? Thanks for any info....

The DME one is blue. I think they are differently threaded also...

yes, they are different thread sizes. I THINK.....the dme temp sensor is small(m12x1.5) ....the temp gauge sender is large.(m14x1.5) but that is from memory, dont quote me.

      cheers, jason

DME sensor is 15, gauge would be 13.

          As always, thanks.
I can see now that the naming is at least consistent, if not all that clear. "Coolant Temp Sensor" = DME (color-blue) and "Temperature Sensor" = Gauge (color-black) on the E30 M3 side also.
