the blues are 24 LB and they are now installed on the manifold/rail

My wheels are 17X7, so that should help a little yeah?
And no I don't think it's the right sensor, but I guess that's what happens when you buy stuff from other people on bimmerforums..........

bimmerforums is good and bad, but yeah, you can definitely get hosed by uninformed sellers. the obd1 sensor has a female plug.

windsor318is I got lucky and it came that way, along with a euro oil filter housing that I'm not using right now. ALso I've been watching your thread very closely and am quite impressed.

hoveringuy- Sorry didn't mean to ignore you I'm leaving the sensors in as plugs. Thats how the guy ran them that I bought them from. I picked up the obd2 midpipes from an m3 that have a bung welded in for a pre-cat obd1 sensor. This will run to my remus catback with some pretty fatty tips. Maybe I'll go snap a pic right now.

here's the cats with sensor on the right side pipe right after the merge.

Heres the catback with a couple different picks and a 20 to get an idea of the pipe size.

I'm wondering how much it's gonna cost to have it put in. I was thinking around $200+ since all they have to do is bend the downpipe a little, cut a little bit out, and then hang it.

remember what they say about your original estimate - always double it

Okay I'm retarded and put the chip in backwards. Now it's cranking, I have fuel, and I now have spark. ......yet it's not starting! Doesn't this combination lead to it starting. Right after the chip was flipped it coughed , but since then I have had nothing. This sucks.

The 3.46 won't be bad at all, I think it'll be perfect actually. I have the e36 zf with my swap as well , and i want a little shorter 3rd and 4th for more torque (the 3.25 isn't quite cuttin it). Great work nevertheless, and that exhaust should sound pimp as fuck!

Thanks I think it will sound great. I was up 48 hours working on this thing thurs and friday and it ended with it finally starting for about 10 seconds until the vanos oil feed line started spraying oil everywhere, at which point I cut the engine. (just as I was getting out to play with the throttle). It wouldn't start again. the threads were fucked up in the head where the hollow bolt goes. A couple people mentioned using a helicoil to rethread it. The other problem was that my fuel lines were just barely leaking. I tightened down the clamps pretty good, but still it leaks. Any ideas? Could this be caused by the lines or injectors being clogged? Maybe the fpr?

                              Here's a few pics

Here's the first of many false moments of truth

                              A couple different angles

oh yeah look at that beautiful 3.46, that was almost more of a bitch to put in than the entire engine

A couple exhaust shots (I'm still planning on tucking and painting the rear diving board)

Wow I can't get a break. I thought I got lucky by having an s52 with the extra hole (in the middle) drilled in the head. But the e30 sensor for the temp guage is a different size, so the hole is useless since I have to tap it anyway. Not only that something funny is going on with the vanos right around 3k. It's not throwing any codes and the shop isn't really sure whats going on either. All they they know is theres a little valvetrain noise and $500 bucks later I'm not any closer to having it fixed. This used to be fun, but not anymore.
