There was thread couple of weeks ago in this section, that it's possible to use getrag 240 (318is gearbox) for the swap.
        -240/e36 transmisson mounts
        -323i throw out bearing
-Use the pilot bearing that was ment for your motor
        -Driveshaft Center Bearing (e30 318is)

WRONG. Pilot bearing must match the TRANSMISSION, not the motor.

if by fabulous you mean it blew almost immediately, then yes he did.

it looks like he might be foolish enough to put in another one. I guess he'd rather save money and spend all his days replacing gearboxes than just doing it right the first time:

Yeah Yeah you can use the tranny.
I got all the pieces I need and the motor in. I just needed them last 2 pieces.
Well other then to finish the exhaust, install the rad and the 318 wire cover.
pics about a day old now. :)

Jordans motor is also the e36 M3, So doesnt it put out more power??
Not much Im sure but I dont plan to beat on mine like he did.
                  Thanks for the info guys..
