Check engine light, WHY is it not on?

    I guess if its on when the car is off then off when the car is on, you are in the clear.

      Sorry to revive an old ass thread but I feel it's better to contribute to this one than start a new one.

      I currently am having the same problem than some of you had, if the car idles for 15-20 seconds the check engine will come on, and usually the tach bounces slightly up and down. As soon as I give it gas, the light goes off. It does smell rich at times.

      I was guessing O2 sensor, did any of you find that was the problem?

        I have the AGK plug, and i dont have a check engine light at any key position. Im pretty sure they didnt include it.

          What code does it show?

            Lambda code, so basically the air/fuel ratio is off and the engine is trying to compensate.

              Check for vacuum leaks. Do you have the correct fuel pressure and the correct injectors for your chip?
