with it's own thermoswitch and relay. you can get standalone fan controller kits from places like summit, jegs, etc.

So would you reccomend something like this with a radiator probe?
Free Shipping - Flex-A-Lite Adjustable Electric Fan Controllers with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Fan Switches at Summit Racing.

Free Shipping - Derale Adjustable Fan Controllers with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Fan Switches at Summit Racing.

      Or
Free Shipping - Derale Deluxe Adjustable Controllers with Pipe Threaded Probes with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Fan Switches at Summit Racing.

They both cost around the same, I just dont know where I would thread it.

Do you really think that with the lower temp t-stat and switch, with the stock fan I would still need another to run a/c?

read a few posts up for why a lower temp t-stat isn't going to help

you can probably get away with cooling the car with only the stock AC fan. but you live in miami, your AC probably won't blow as cold.

Thanks for the quick responses btw. That makes sense about the t-stat. I am thinking to replace the stock fan with an upgraded one. I do want the system to work optimally so i dont mind using another fan.

So after all this discussion is this mod worth it for a street e30 M20 ?
            Is there any power gains?

            Edit:
Sorry if I am confused, but is this even for the M20 or 24V?

Seeing as it's in the 24V DOHC Swaps section, I'd imagine it's for a 24V motor.

it actually doesn't matter what motor you have, the premise is the same as are the actual modifcations required.

Yeah I was thinking it could be done to any, and if there are even any gains

If you want to add a puller fan that won't kick on with the AC, try this...
