Went to a local shop to have my brain scanned. Cylinders 2 and 5 were misfiring.

I ordered a full set of ground straps as well as a new crank sensor (which I found to have been held down by a zip tie by the previous owner..... "well theres yer problem right ther"

Just for safe measure I am also getting new relays.

I will let you guys know how it runs when all the parts are installed.

      Thanks for the help.

damn, its a new car now.... This thing pulls hard all the way to 7k, never felt this before!

Still has issues with hot starts though, I am wondering if its a o2 sensor issue, maybe its getting to rich and the cars is dieing. I gotta look into it more, I am just glad I can get on it and not be dissapointed.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but my m42 is pulling the 1271 code and I have 2 crank position sensors that read okay on the Ohm test. is it possible the Crank sensor can have intermittent failures when going out, while providint good readings when tested sometimes?
