Hi, I am very sorry to bump this up, as i haven't been on this forum for a while and didn't see the above posts, but i feel compelled to clarify my position.
To curb the proliferation of this idiocy, i want to clarify following points (esp for Mike):

If you want to deal with the issue at hand, please post where the issue is/was discussed (i.e here: http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=107308) and not in the totally unrelated threads, which creates pollution and therefore unnecessary frustration for the community.

Before passing judgments on people it is always a good idea to check your facts, otherwise one tends to look like an asshat when real facts come out.

    Facts:
    - The bolt 'shoved' in the engine was imperial, i.e imperial thread (not just grade 5), i think i still have the bolts somewhere - you can come take a look if you want
    - The markings on the head clearly indicate imperial
    - Thread size tool clearly indicates imperial thread
    - I called your boss on the phone to personally give him shit about this
    - He confirmed that it was indeed him who put the bolts in (and he has my respect for owning up)
    - He asked me not to post everywhere about this and i have not
    - If i was a prick i'd certainly post all about it on the local or other forums, yet i haven't

Now let's take a look at what you've just said (quoted are your exact words):
Q: "its funny how YOU are telling me to be a man and confront you"
A: yes, i don't consider it very manly/mature to throw cheap shots and cultivate the anomosity in unrelated threads instead of bringing up your issues with me up front: email, PM, in person, etc so we can actually discuss it.

Q: "you're too stupid to understand the message I'll tell you now"
A: how exactly do you figure i won't understand the message you're typing now, as i haven't even read your message at that point in time (i.e while you were typing)? Doesn't sound very smart to me.

Q: "The problem is that you're 2 faced, you act all nice to my boss and you talk shit about him on the internet"
A: Indeed i talked/acted nice to your boss throughout the time he helped with my car, which was BEFORE i noticed this (and others) negligent/deliberate fukkup(s). When i did notice it and called him up - believe me - i was not sounding nice, ask him if you don't believe me.

Q: "On top of it, the argument was about a bolt that came with the motor YOU bought"
A: first: this is not what your boss told me over phone (his story was that the threads were too big so he put this bolt in), second, he was the one attaching the arms to the engine, therefore it was his responsibility to make sure the hardware was correct - wouldn't you agree with this? Or do you imply that you guys don't check things like this?

Q: "Considering how anal you are about everything on your car, you'd think you would go to see the motor going into your car in person before it's installed"
A: You are correct: very anal! but i was also a car-noob back then, so i put my trust in your bosses hands. Moreover, your boss new well how anal i am about the car, and yet this incident still took place.

Q: "You should'nt worry about the grade 5 bolt because:"
A: Once more: 5grade wouldn't trouble me much - it's the fact that the bolt and thread on it is IMPERIAL. It looks like you continuously neglect this piece of info, which makes me wonder - do you really know the difference? (if not, i feel sorry for your customers)
imperial bolt shoved into metric thread = thread pulled out from the block and bolt's thread mangled (basically what happened to me)

Q: "1) If you try to fix it, you'll fuck it up"
A: I fixed it all by myself ;) with helicoil kit and a drill - wasn't hard at all. Do you consider it a tough job?

Q: "2) You aren't capable of pushing the car hard enough to break the bolt"
A: Does this advocate the substandard job?Are you into bimmers because they are built with a "just enough" moto? Do you even appreciate the 'overbuilt' nature of these cars? Q: "(and if you fixed it, im sure you're ability to re-tap/re-thread the block sucks)."
A: Please explain how you are "sure" of that?

Q: "On a side note, you read all this shit over the internet and forums and try to go 'track prep' your car even though the reason your not getting the lap times you want isnt because of too much weight, or balance..its just lack of driving skill."
A: I can see you're trying hard to hurt my feelings by bringing in the absolutely unrelated stuff. Ironically though, i feel for you. Your boss is a very lovable character (hence my past friendship with him), and i can see why you and Dimitry would stand up for him. I would stand up for him just the same way if someone were to troll and talk trash about him. There is a big difference however - all that i've stated is the truth that has been confirmed.
Or, maybe you think that only the good stuff is to be talked about publicly and all the bad stuff should be swept under the carpet?

Q: "You're right, you shouldn't even bother anymore...because clearly you're not getting anywhere."
A: not sure what you mean - where do you think i'm trying to get? The only point i am trying to get at is to not let you jump to hasty or ill-informed conclusions, not for mine, but for yours and your shop's own sake.

Q: "Next time you have a problem with something...deal with it in a proper manner before you go talking shit about people behind their back, without even knowing full details."
A: First off, and let's be honest here Mike, did you discuss this matter with anyone? I have a suspicion that you have - which would constitute "talking shit behind my back" and i hope my clarifications here show that you didn't know "full details".
So please indulge me. Let's hear the basis for your above conclusions and please let me know the "full details" that i apparently don't know... Also please don't forget to fill me in on how i should have dealt with this in a proper manner. Bring it to you so you can fix it?

In conclusion: you do realize that by continuing on with this matter you're hurting your shop's rep, right?

    Peace
    Alex

So you've met me in person, did that help you any?

Your "knowledge of me in person" is based on two or three times me meeting you and exchanging pleasantries. Since when is this enough to claim to know a person?
Ok, let's assume for a second that you do indeed know me and i am indeed a different person on the net. What does this have to do with the matter at hand? Does this automatically gives you the right to pass judgments on me with absolutely no proper justification? ( i.e prejudice? )
