i only wear them during the summer.I rarely move heavy things with sandals on.I give it 18 months at that rate before you r3v your big toe with an exhaust manifold or P/S pump. I wear Redback Steeltoes in the shop, and have set a few engines on my feet by accident when the core guy is there for scrap metal. You really should't chance your feet. I'd suggest a short sleeve shirt w/shoes instead of a parka and sandals.Leave a comment:

Shift key failing you again?
OP: Call tomorrow afternoon and I'll try and get you straightened out, I'm sure it's something simple I'm just not thinking of without the wiring diagrams in front of me.Leave a comment:

im a smart shopper.I buy tools as i need them so im starting to get a decent collection going. Now i need another box but i hate spending 2000+on a good used tool box.I mean i got my cherry picker wiht a load leveler(that was missing stuff) for 40 bucks hahaLeave a comment:

Half the fun of working on these cars is turning wrenches, not pulling a trigger. If I wanted to do that, I'd be a hunter. Shit, I have my 2.7i stroker done and running and I'm contemplating ripping it out and doing a 24v just because I love working on my car.
My MINI frustrates me sometimes because there's nothing to be done on it - with my e30 there's always something I can do to it, and it keeps the hobby alive.
PS - I almost always wear sandals when working on my car - yes, even when swapping engines. If you're not smart enough to get your toes out of the way in time, you deserve to lose them :)
PS - Good luck! Let us know how the swap turns out!Leave a comment:

^^^^^^I bought one for about 25 bucks that I use on a frequent basis. Also its not even 30 bucks dude i mean are you that hard up for cash?lol I have a 2000 dollar ingersol rand compressor big deal ?Its just funny to see how the majority of you guys are so cheap.Your sitting there cluckin like a baby about 30 bucks. It just cracks me up.THeres no such thing as spoiling yourself with tools. You could never have enough tools. It just makes jobs easier why use a jack and possibly a second person when I can use a leveler and do it by myself.Anyways
I like this guy. His 'tude is very cool.Leave a comment:

Hurray for sandals and building motors. Yeah, I've got a second project sitting at home, a c10 on bags w/ built motor just to be able to build it up. Always fun having more projects. And hell yes I work in sandals welding and stuff, hurts worse to get a piece of hot metal down the shoe than bounce off the side.
Any more updates?Leave a comment:
