Im lazy and cant search for AC threads

Ive had my swap for some time now but never even thought about putting the AC in.

What exactly needs to be modified and where do I source the modified parts? I know at least a pressure hose or two needed to be fabricated. Im a check cutter so I would need a source.
    Im now E30less.

I know Zionsville has that kit...they'll be who I am ordering mine from in the next few weeks (whenever they get the kit back in)...maybe give them a call and ask them for some tips?

I fabricated those hoses for around $20. Order the hose barbs and ferruls from ackits.com. I've always had great service from them.

^^ could you please explain how you modded the stock line and 318i line?

I still had the e36 fittings that bolted to the compressor... the trick was to mate those to the e30 hoses. It would have been really easy except the e36 suction and pressure lines were each one size larger than the e30 counterparts. On the suction size ackits.com has a nice little adapter that worked great. On the pressure side I think I increased the line size to the condenser. I will need to pull my receipt to let you know the exact part numbers I purchased. Getting the hose and pipe sizes was probably the hardest part.

The e36 metal lines that bolt to the compressor also took a little bit of bending because their original routing was different than e30 routing, but it was no big deal.

The fitting that I got from ACkits.com needed to be brazed onto the metal lines, and the ferruls needed to be crimped over the hose at an AC shop, which cost me $10.
