Ok I think my DME is bad I have power in all the correct pins at the dme. Is there anything else besides the cps that could keep my car from starting on a 92 nonvanos engine.84 318I Delphin RIP

hmm that does not help me why did it go bad or did some one sell you a bad one? also I have a dme out of a 525i non vaose car same as the 402 but a different chip I think I may have a bad harnessComment

yeah all my grounds are good it is like the dme is not seeing the crank signal or something that is not letting it fireComment

so a little update
I have swaped a know running m50 nv e36 harness in and I am have the same issue
but I have discover something
if I have the cam and crank sensors plugs swaped the car will back fire and spuder but if the are installed correctly it will sill on start via no spark and the the fuel injectors and event the pump will not turn on? so I am kinda at a lossComment

well another update turns out when I have them swapped backwards and it back fires think that in fact they are in the right position and that the cam sensor is making it back fire
does anyone know what the symptoms of a bad cam sensor are ?Comment
