    It's my daily, so I needed it to be bearable. I've been through 4 different middle mufflers, and 2 different sizes of piping to get it right. From a 1-10 (10 being the loudest) I'd say its about a 6.5 or 7. It purrs very nicely while cruising, but you definitely know when you start to push it! It screams on WOT as you hear on the dyno video! :pimp:

    With the 3", regardless of the center muffler used (Borla XR-1 or Accelerator), it was too loud. It sounded sick on WOT, but droned like hell on the highway.

    When I switched to 2.5" the Big Accelerator muffler made the exhaust too quiet for my liking, so I switched to a straight through resonator, which was the loudest setup of all! Surprisingly if the windows were up there was no drone! It sounded super aggressive on anything over 1/2 throttle, but got me too much attention by the cops.

    Next, I tried a Spintech in the middle, which was too quiet, and raspy for my taste. Finally I put the Borla in the middle and it's perfect! I'm huge on exhaust, it's my favorite characteristic of a car, so it has to sound good for me to enjoy the drive. ;)

    I eventually want to get some euro headers > a nice X-pipe > dual 2" > dual resonators > Y-pipe > 3" > my Vibrant muffler!

    The Vibrant is what gives my exhaust it's tone. I love it to death! Easily my favorite muffler on our motors! :D

            Bostonbmw, where in va are you and how much did mbs charge? I'm contemplating having them do my exhaust (I was very pleased with the work they did on my mini).

              Anyone running a B&B M3 can with one? Noise level go down thanks to smoother pulses of the 6 vs 4?

                          But the question was directed at 24V setups, I have basicly the same two exhaust you have mentioned eLKuRLy. It gives me the idea thou. Think the 24V will dampen it some what.

                            Has anyone run an E30 cat-back on an S50/S52? I'm expecting approx 320 hp at the crank and it seems most E30 325i cat-backs are the stock diameter (1.75" I think).

                            I can't get an E36 cat-back to work due to the exhaust tip cutout in the BMP rear bumper, and I'm eery about trying a custom setup that I may not like.

                            Thanks for any input!

                              I think that will be a major restriction. You might just want to make a custom exhaust setup but I used a Remus for the last section after the cat and it worked out perfectly.
