3" glasspack, It's only on there because the stock muffler weighs like 35# and this whole setup is around 15#. I originally took the back half off and was driving it but the droning in the car was kiling me, but the girls liked the vibrations it made coupled with my solid engine/tranny mounts :D

Loonibab325i -- That's almost exactly the same as my setup only mines a racecar! I have to wear ear plugs when I drive it to and from the track otherwise my ears ring for half a day. Sounds great when you're rowing through the gears on the track, but on the street it's gotta be way too loud.
Ebay headers > Y pipe (with cut out for o2 sensors) > 2.5" piping > to straight through muffler.
Overall: SOUNDS LIKE SHIT.. i'm really not liking it at all, it's way too raspy and just sounds like a fart cannon, gah! i'm going to put in a resonator and see how that works out, if not i'm re-doing the whole exhaust.
I took mine to the local exhaust shop with open headers, gave them the muffler and cat, and told them to bolt something together with all stainless steel. This is what I got for $140 ($75 labor, $65 parts):
This was the single most expensive part of my swap. $140 for exhaust, $90 for the radiator, and $50 for the motor mounts. Everything else was free or traded for e30 parts I had laying around, including the motor. Best $280 I've ever spent! The exhaust sounds pretty good. You can barely hear it at idle, not overly raspy under load, but it does scream up top.
Ebay headers -> custom Y Pipe -> 2.5" single-> Magnaflow cat -> Borla ProXS muffler -> Hooker tip
Nice, I'm interested to hear it. Post an exhaust clip soon.
