your car passes va emissions with no cats? the m50 swap car i just got has what looks like twin bullet mufflers in place of the cats to an ansa muffler. it used to be registered in va...no idea if it will pass inspection that is required in nova.
edit: just checked va dmv site...if car is 25 yoa or older, no emissions inspection. mine is an 85...no inspection! whoo hooo!

I just don't like the fact that everything was welded together. No way to break it down into pieces.Leave a comment:

Hope to do something similar on my car. I have all the parts and just waiting to get it to a shop to knock it out. Really nice work there.Leave a comment:

Agreed. Seperate topic.
Couple things. Don't believe everything you hear. Practice and theory are different. Seeing is believing.
PS thanks for the props.Leave a comment:

my 911 turbo had factory turbo in the rear...... LOL!! ;)Car to elaborate? From most I have read the added length on plumbing and the hassle of oil for lubrication makes it just not worth the time. If it was more efficient then why don't more factory turbos get mounted in the rear?
Not that hard to fab a spot for them when designing the car. Would also lower the underhood temps.
Yes this is OT maybe we should have a seperate thread for this.Leave a comment:

Very interesting how bad is the lag being a rear mounted system? Most Rear Mounts are larger displacement so there is plenty of cfm's to spin the turbo. Here you go DS
