My exhaust has been held in place by 3 coat hangers for about 5 months now with one worn out donut in the rear. Passed the state visual safety inspection too.

In a perfect world where I have more time, I would use the stock brackets re-welded in the proper position.

Yup that's where I got my cat and muffler. IMO they sound the best on e36 motors, especially for the $.

These mufflers are pure sex: (I'm using the 3" w/ dual 3.5" round cut tips)

I have 3" turbo back with a gutted cat and an aero muffler from the same place. And a magnaflow muffler in the mid pipe which is proving to be quite low haha

Custom exhaust. Custom headers to 3" stainless using all v-band clamps. No cats. Magnaflow 3" in to twin 2.25" out straight through muffler. Twin magnaflow 3" tips.

JUST DONT GET IT MADE AT DENT SPORT GARAGE IN MASS.

i just bought my s52 car and i believe it has a remus muffler. it is kind of a weird shape, too. it is kind of trapezoidal.

the exhaust is from a 95 m3 and doesnt exactly fit, but it sounds freakin sweet.

There's a few ways you can do it.

Stock bracket that wraps around the muffler casing and mounts to a rubber donut.

Weld 'legs' to the side of the muffler casing and mount via 2 rubber donuts.

There is a plug in the trunk floor you can remove and allow you to use a mounting setup to hang it from the top.

I'm sure there are plenty of other ways too.
