    Accessories

    Hey guys,

Im wondering if the PS pump and alternator form a non-vanos m50 will fit on a s52 block.

Can i steal most of the obd1 parts minus the wiring harness and ecu off my nv motor also?

    Thanks
    -Chris

Yes, I think so. There may be some differences in idler pullies or tensioners and such, but it should all work. You will need the Vanos oil filter housing of course.

I will need to figure out if that stuff will fit the M54, too. The front of the motor is different with no toothed wheel, etc.

I will let you know when I get to that point....

Turns out the PS pump has different mounting position due to the oil filter hosing (i think) but with obd1 oil housing all is well.

        Idk about your m54 though.

Im just going to build my own motor instead of buying a used one and hope its ok. again. Thanks Matt Abst or what ever the fuck your name was.

I have a pretty fresh head already so why not build a low compression 2.9...

M50 and S52 P/S pump should be interchangeable, I think. I'm pretty sure only the M52 got the different oil filter housing (plastic cap) which works with a different power steering pump.

Maybe that was the case. Someone said one of the PS pump brackets was different cause of the filter housing. Very well could be the m52 ad not s52 though.
