I can not decide! M52 or S50

Speaking from personal experience and preferences, I'd say the decision boils down to the following:

If you prefer NA:

If you have not a lot to spend, install an M52, convert to OBD1 and DON'T do the mods (S52 cams, 3.5"MAF, headers, exhaust, software blah blah blah).

If you have more money (decent but not ridiculous amount to spend), then I'd say go all the way to S52 with absolutely no regrets. Don't spend time modding an M52 when you'll end up in the same ballpark cost-wise with an S52 but missing that extra displacement.

If you prefer FI (and have the $$):

No question here whatsoever. Get an M52 and go to town. It can handle way more boost than an S52 (same block, thicker cylinder walls and forged crankshaft too).
