    Ebay header question

So how did you guys who have the supersprint knock off headers from ebay get those bad boys from not hitting your sway bar? cause i'm getting a bad clunking noise and it gets really annoying and actually kind of scary.. i don't want to get new headers or use the obd 2 exhaust manifolds because i just dumped near $700 on my exhaust setup and i dont really want to fuck with it anymore...

    thanks in advanced.

    -Abe

Hmmm...installed them recently, I just spaced the passenger side motor mount a 1/4 inch higher and I have no clearance issues.

Do they hit stock swaybars or aftermarket swaybars?

+1, but it was hitting the subframe, not the sway bar.. and you need to remove the heatshield off the pass side motor mount.

It's so close that will depend on your car. One of my down pipes was almost rubbing the subframe (as in, less then 1mm clearance), so I put a washer under the passenger motor mount arm, and now the other header is almost touching the heat shield on the body. If I pulled the motor out and put it back in, I bet it wouldn't be the same... and over time it won't be either, as the mounts wear and the motor settles.

I just bent the header - but I suppose that's not much good for you since you already have the rest of your exhaust built.

I bent mine since they looked a little warped from the heat of welding - I didn't expect them to fit right straight out of the box. I doubt the jig the Chinese use is as good whatever SS has.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

yeah, i was thinking spacer between the motor mount.. i'll let you guys know what route I go and what it fixes, and yes i believe it also rubs on the subframe.

                  thanks for the tips guys.

                  -Abe.

i just used a spacer and that worked for me. but there is almost no clearnence between the two sides. the biggest thing that i could fit between the two sides are a pencil

I had no clearance issues with the subframe or my ST swaybar. Must be a different style than yours. But it does fit pretty tight to the motor mount arm.

I have 3/16ths subframe clearance, but I had to use a pry bar and hammer to create space between the second header and the heat shield. Now I have about 1/16th clearance against the body.
