id recommend it yes. i ran s52 cams in my m52 swap car with the maf and chip, probably could have used injectors. but yeah id for sure do the MAF.
How did you like your swap overall? Good bang for the buck? Enough power?
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

more than enough power for sure. alls i needed was a lsd. i did my car on the cheap. i was all in at $7500 including the car, suspension, wheels, tires, motor etc the whole shebang. sure everyone says get a S motor first but i dont think those people have touched a 24 valve e30 before. the m52 makes more than enough power for anyone to get into trouble with. a cammed m52 with software and all the bolt ons makes as much power as a stock s50 anyways.
I'm a bit of newb when it comes to the compatability of the S52 with the other M5x engines...but taking the S52 cams thing a step further...will a complete S52 head bolt onto an M52B28 alloy block without any engineering involved? I wouldn't have thought so, but looking at realoem the complete cylinder head part number seems to be the same for the M52B28 and the S52...but that sounds too easy to me.
