i was wondering the exact same thing, and now i know. i was about to try something stupid and use the power block off the e36 or something...

Is that power block off of an e36?

also, you know the wire harness cover from the e30 will fit around the harness with a little fabricating.

its a 14" flex-a-lite. my m42 wiring cover didn't seem too fit, ill make something nicer later on. but for not it works. i just want to get it all working then improve things like that later. next thing is getting a temp gauge working, probably just get an aftermarket one.

You're doing a great job on your swap Jeremy. I have a 91 325i that I want to do this swap on. I have found a supper cheap m50 in a 92 525i in a junk yard and I dying to find a way to buy it.

does my o2 sensor need to be in my x-pipe or can it just go in one of the exhaust pipes? because I'm going to make dual 2" and i was looking at a x-pipe muffler but if i get it i cant weld the o2 sensor in it. but if i make my x-pipe then i can weld it in. so can it just read 3cly?
