Most people have standard E30's and using the 260 is easy.
Also, a lot of engine deals include the transmission, so a lot of people use the ZF in that case.
The bell housing adapter is pretty hard to come by. They didnt use the 265 behind an M20 for very long.Comment

I had one and intended to use it with my S52. But the S52 has plenty of torque pretty much anywhere in the rev range, so it defeats the purpose of having the CR transmission. If it was more rev happy it would be a blast though.Comment

Have the bellhousing you need. It is for sale on ebay right now, as well as in a FS thread here on R3V. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=Comment

I just read your auction. are you sure it will bolt up to a M20?
From the research i've done over the years, i think this might not be the one i'm looking for.
my reasoning.
E30 M3 guys don't use their gearboxes in S50 swaps. tranny wont fit
E30 M3's tranny is the same as big six's from E28, E32, e34 etc.
from the last two days of research, in 1982 the 528e used a M20 motor and a big six 265/6. after that it uses a "baby six" gearbox.
this is the bellhousing i need, and i think it's different than the one your selling on ebay.
if you have info stating otherwise, that this bellhousing will work, please let me know and i'll buy it ASAP!!!Comment
