zf transmission, so what diff?

I was talking E36 trannies. It is my understanding that the Zf and Getrag ratios are so similar that they are interchangable.

Dont know why he would bring that up in a topic about the 5 speed, and even then the 6 speed ratios are the same as the 5 speed minus the last gear. You would be blasting through all 5 gears just city driving with a 4.10.

i was at 32k rpm at 65mph w/ a 3.25lsd on my e30m3 s52 using a zf.
switched over to a 2.93lsd and pretty happy with it now.

My tach is off, so it says 2900 at 65mph. I cruise 80 at 3400...I love vanos in fifth on the freeway! :woowoo:
I want a 6 spd with a 3.46 dammit!
