    Wiring - s50 into e30

I have a 1986 320i, i am transplanting the s50b32 (euro) into my car, i am having a problem with the wiring(confused), when i had the m20 motor it was upgraded from 2.0 to 2.7 along with the wiring harness from the later model and the computer box (motronic) so i switched from having the ditributor on the side of the block to in front of the head.
The wires coming out of the fuse box have obviously been cut and re joined onto the motronic plug - are the wires te same to join onto the e36 plug??? im lost

Without more information, your guess is good as anyone else's.

If you can identify and list all of the colors of the wires that remain on the C101 plug, that would help us help you.

Heck, even with the S50B32 there are some questions. What did it come out of? Z3? M3?

Mohamed, be aware that the US M3 motor is vey different from the rest-of-the-world, and that connections will differ. If you are handy with the French language, here are the connections for the real e36 M3 motor into your e30.

French e30 M3 forum. Traduction of that short article would be great as it highlights many glitches that most people are not aware of, because the real M3 motor is so different fro the US one.

Ah dammit. Lee, you wouldn't happen to be familiar with the swap, would you? This is the second reference to -X20 Pin 9 that I have seen for oil temp. My ETM for the UK M3 shows it going through -X6031

I just checked, there is nothing in pin 9 on my harness. That list does NOT match my engine.

Nvm. Lee, that list you posted is for the 3.0L I guess there are some connector differences between 3.0L and 3.2L

I'd love a translation of that article though.
