    I don't really care about launching, that's pointless in a 24v e30. If I roll from 20 it's fine. I normally punch it in high first, then there is plenty of traction.

    I can't imagine a 2.93, even though the longer 1st and second would be fun. I did the 3.46 to have a shorter 3rd and 4th, and that's exactly what I got. Traction sucks balls even with the 3.25, I'm not drag racing here. The 3.46 is a very peppy daily gear! :-D

                  i have a 3.25 now with the ZF and i want to go the other way, to a 2.93! i don't even drive on the highway all that much.

                    I guess I havent driven mine hard enough to know yet, but so far I'm digging the OD Getrag box with the 2.93. It has loooooooooong legs.

                    I think bumping it up to a 3.46 might be nice, but while I'm doing primarily highway driving and hardly any track days, it doesnt matter much to me.

                      traction is really that much of a problem for you guys? hmm, s52 must put out alot more power then s50, i cant break my 235's loose unless i try.

                        I'm running a 260 getrag with a 3.73, I'm assuming 3.46 w/ ZF is shorter?

                        Traction isn't a problem for me either unless it would involve launching. I can floor it from a stop and not really lose traction, just a little spinning at the top of 1st.

                        Running 225's.

                          We have a little more torque, but I have to gas it up, or pin it from a dig to lose it. And I only have 215/45/17 bfg kdws?

                            Your gearing is closer to a ZF with a 3.25, a 260 with 4.10s is almost the same I believe.

                              yeah 3.73 with a ZF

                              thing is im really used to it oddly enough. i had a civic si from 2000 till 2008 (original owner) and it has a close diff also. at 80mpg i was at 4600rpm.

                              as long as i can get rid of the drone ill be fine. and after the sweet resonator i saw at the performance show over the weekend....and that is coming in today. i think i wont have any. :D

                                ^^That's much worse than my 318is was with the 4.10.. "Worse" depends on how you look at it of course-- I do 97% of my driving on the highway.
