Updated exhaust setup

where did you source the m5 mounts.. I see they are like 100 total..... for rt and lt?.....

I bought them and my THR adapter from a fellow BMWMOFO member here in OK.

They aren't. The 535 mounts need to be shimmed in almost every install.

I just wanted to make sure he didn't have to shim M5 mounts since that's what I purchased for my upcoming S52 swap.

It is the headers for sure. But I got it to a point where I like it. The rasp adds to the aggressive tone. ;)

Interesting a bunch of the stuff I read said the 535 mounts need shimmed and the m5 doesn't. Either way glad the headers fit!

Oops, typical Polak mistake!

I meant to say: They will touch or be held against the heatshield/firewall, which wouldn't be ideal.

An z31maniac, we never shimmed the mounts. :|

/\ It will rattle is what polak mean. I think. Basicly just bend it so it isnt touching the headers.

The one thing about the Vibrant is that it by itself is LOUD! I ran a straight through resonator before the borla, and it was pretty obnoxious.



Fixed.



Just spaced the passenger side motor mount by 3/16ths.

P.S save yourself a world of trouble and flatten the heat shield where the headers drop down to...otherwise the will touch be held against it.
