    Vibration in motor/drivetrain

Just got my exaust done today for my e30/m52 swap and was test driving it today. There is a vibration that I can not figure out where it coming from? With the clutch in our out, the trans in any gear or neutral. It gets worse as the rpm gets higher. Did I put my clutch flywheel on right?

your exaust is the problem. It most likey is rubbing on somthing. Look around to see if it is touching anything.

Do you think so? It feels worse than that though. I think it my have been there before the exaust but was hard to tell driving with open headers.

Yes the exhaust could be the issue. I am going through the same problem right now but my issue is only at idle. I know where my issue is but since I don't drive the car in the winter its not being an issue right now.

Check to see around where the exhaust comes down near the subframe and front sway bar that's where one of my pipes is rubbing and the other is on the lollipop bushing.

It was the same thing with my car. Open headers no shacking at all. Then after the full exaust system shacking horrible. My headers were touching the front crossmember and also I had poly tranny mounts. That was the other problem.

I am almost positive it is. My tranny mounts are polly and they were shacking horrible. I dont want to even think what aluminum mounts would do.

It should. It was the problem with mine plus the exhaust so it should help.

O and Red I have the same problem in idle.

I would double check the exhaust, thats been the source of vibration on all the 24v e30s ive seen for that problem. Ive also driven plenty of cars with solid motor/trans mounts and the little vibration they do cause, doesnt sound like your issue.

oops, i guess i missed that. I suppose it could be harder mounts, but that usually isnt very violent
