S50 vs S52 Cams

I apologize if this has been beaten to death previously, I STFA and didn't find much.

I have what the PO told me is a M50 out of a 1995 325, so I assume a M50B25. I want to get a little more out of it and was thinking of going with S50/S52 cams, pink tops and 540 MAF.

From STFA it apears I can use S52 cams as long as I use S52 trays and lifters...is this correct? Or would I be better off just using S50 cams? Do I need anything else from the S52?

Is there a difference between the S50 and S52 cams from a performance standpoint in the M50?

I apologize again if this has be previously discussed, I'm a E30 noob.

Yes, you can use S52 cams with trays. Or just a straight swap with S50 cams. M52 trays are the same as S52 trays, also.

but the performance difference between s50 and s52 cams is negligible. go with s50
