I have a ZF 5 speed from an E36 328i and I made the mistake of trying to use an e36 slave cylinder in my swap only to find that there is no clearance to remove it or even tighten the line on it because of how tight the trans tunnel is. This is mainly because the e36 slave has the port for the clutch line sticking out of the side vs on the end like the e30 slave cylinder.
I noticed that the e46 slave cylinder seems to offer the most optimal position for the bleed screw and the clutch line port. Is there any reason I can't use the e46 slave cylinder along with the stock e30 master and ZF 5 speed?
