I bought the car swapped and I'm going through to clean it up now. I've confirmed via part #s that the OBD1 harness comes from an E34 M50 car. I found this connector hanging out in the same area as the DME connector but I can't figure out what it is even with wiring diagrams. Does anyone have an idea?

I’m not sure if it was an auto E34. I found a thread on here mentioning the trans connectors are separate in the E34 but not 100% on that.
The brown wires lead to the main ground (makes sense) and the others go into the mess of wires leading to the rest of the engine.'90 325is + S52

Did some more digging through the diagrams. I believe it's x6003 which is related to the auto trans. All the colors match up with an M50 A4S-310R car, the weird part is the diagram lists the connector as black, 8-pin when the one I'm holding is a black, 12-pin with only 8 of the pins filled. But I can trace all the pins back and they match x6003.'90 325is + S52
