    M50 Single mass flywheel

sorry for this topic maybe you talked too much about it but i have new "idea"
so im building an M50B28nv stroker with 2 intake cams from M50nv ( 2x240 degrees)
i use to have M40 flywheel and clutch on the m50b25 and it wasnt slip also we used the same clutch kit on M50B26 stroker ( which is M50B20 + M52B28 crank) also it didnt slip
reason why i use M40 flywheel because its lighter and solid mass is more reliable than dual mass
im gonna machine it to lightweight it ( remove maybe 3-4 kg )
the problem now is im not sure if it can hold the power now ? power will be 210-230hp ( some people can get more)
maybe i can machine also to have bigger diameter to use a little bit bigger clutch that will help for sure but the OEM one can survive ???

Is your an E30 or E36 style flywheel? Either way the area of the flywheel surface is probably enough with a more aggressive than stock clutch setup, but it's likely a very borderline assembly size for the expected power.

iidnt understand you well bro , but the flywheel is from E34 518i M40B18 , for the fitment erything is good and ok
i was using this with the M50B25 with no problem .... and i dont know if it will work also with the new step M50B28 + 2x240 cams ( +20-30hp and 15-30nm at least )

You're probably the only person running a 215mm single mass on a 24v here, so I don't think you're going to find any advice on this. Most people are at least running a 228mm M20 flywheel/clutch, if not a 240mm M5x/M30 setup.

yap i thing im the only one loool
so m40/m42 flywheel will be ok to use with m50b25 and m50b26 stroker ( with experience )
          the 240mm is for m52b28 M50b25 and less use a 228 one
