    Laptop cable with easy driver installl…

    Hello all. Just took delivery of my new to me 1986 S54 swapped 325i. Looking for best plug and play OBD2 laptop cord to use with BMW flash/ecuworx for simple adjustments, current need to is up the idle for AC usage.

    recommendations?

    The bimmergeeks expert cable is a good one. I assume the S54 ECU will need some CAN signal to tell the ECU the AC is on, or are you just trying to adjust the regular idle?

    Gpeterson used to make a CAN board but I don't know why they aren't available anymore. I'm hoping MarkD can come up with one that will work, I need one for my N52 swap as well.

      Thank you, car has a CAN interface and it was recognizing the compressor being turned on but when driving there was a lag and RPM’s sometimes drop low enough for it to stall. Funny enough it stopped doing it after a couple days of frequent AC usage. Haven’t seen it drop below 800 RPM’s since. Idle set at 970…

      Seller also recommended the bimmergeeks cable and have ordered one to have on hand.
