    S54 installation help.

Doing a bit of research for Fernflex whos planing of installing the s54 in his e30.
He has the complete engine with harness and ecu all sensors etc.
I know the reflash will be done with Mark D. But besides this what else would be neede to swap it into the e30?
    Oil pan?
    Engine mounts?
    Motor mounts?
Trans? Can i bolt on the Getrag 260?
    Driveshaft?

Im searching but there is not many info on this swap yet...

    Thanks for the help!

you probably want the M3's fuel pump, filter, and pressure regulator.

You have a choice of oil pans. You can either use the E34 M50 oil pan and pump, or use a modified subframe and oilpan (TinyT modifies them).

If you use E36 M50 aluminum engine mount arms, the engine will bolt up with the same E28 535i engine mounts as the regular M/S50 or 52 swap.

The Getrag 260 transmission will work. However, you may want to consider using a 240mm flywheel, if you're going to use a stock-ish clutch.

The driveshaft choice will depend on whatever transmission you use. It will be identical to the driveshaft choice as with the normal M/S50 or 52 swap. For example: If you use a ZF 320, you can use an E36 M3 or 328i driveshaft.

What about tuning? Mark D, Bimmerworld? Any other option?

Is the car going to work perfectly, will the rev limiter be 8,000 rpm?

I also need the vac vanos eliminator plus the vac drive by wire?

why would you need or want to eliminate the vanos?

also, it will be cheaper to keep DBW, and easier. a DBW pedal is around $90 used, or free if it came with your motor, vs $300 for a DBW elimination kit, which really has no advantages.

out of the options, I'd pick MarkD.

Fern i keep telling there are new and simple ways to do it.. not like 5 years ago where people had no clue how to do them...
Its not that hard now... just cost more $$ because of the tune and wiring options,
but what you payed for the engine, harness trans ($1,400) etc. when you buy the tune your still not in the price range of just an s50/52 engine cost...

Do your research right, like i said call Rohan and ask people here on the forums like Nando and FredK, they now their shit!

I'd call ABL for the e-throttle delete. I disliked the experience I had with the VAC unit. Hardware is china crap; not worthy of the $385 delivered price I paid for it.
