Next year I will be looking for a totaled e92 m3. The s65 is doable these days with APEX Speed Tech's standalone solution and tuning,

S65 + e30 M3 = God Mode!

If not then I'll be supercharging my s54 and running Race Logic traction control! :twisted:

IMO the S50/2 and the M6X swap are the best options for the money for an e30. For big power I'd go m50 turbo, supercharged non-vanos m62 or LS1.

I am leaning towards an s54 with standalone engine management atm. HPF is less than 2 hours away if I ever wanted to get really crazy with it. But I'm a year away from starting the project and have plenty of time to read and learn, so who knows where I'll end up.

That would be going into my e34 touring if I come into a large amount of money.... :p

The s65 is worht the wait for me! It's around the same weight as an s54, sits around 4-5" further behind the nose, is a rev happy engine, makes more then enough power for an e30 m3, and with the right headers and exhaust, makes some amazing noises!
