    S54 Swap Header Feeler

I am going to start producing an e30/S54 header. It will be a dual 3-1 with 1.75" primaries and 3" v band collectors. Price will be in the $1200-1500 dollar range. Options will be 304ss or ceramic coated mild steel. Fully Tig welded with 3/8" manifold flanges.

I am just gauging interest and will post pictures of designs soon. Thanks!

Sounds beautiful if your past work is any indication. Any thoughts on a manifold/oilpan/subframe combo package?

Most definitely. I could do a much better price for a full setup (header, oilpan/subframe mods, 6 speed trans mount, steering shaft)

I should be picking up a dedicated mockup E30 this week so good things to come!

        ^Awesome.

That's why I was asking, I assumed there would be a better price point for those that came to you as a one stop shop. I'd love to do this sometime this winter, if my shop takes off, you will surely have my $$$$'s. I'm

I have one of your modified subframes and pans, so I can fully appreciate what you can do. But for $1200 - 1500, how is that any different than the high end after market headers out there. You have the cheap $100 ebay ones and the fancier $1500 supersprints. Why would someone pay 1200 for yours?? Guys with an E30 that likely cost $1500-5000 would be spending nearly all of most of the value of the CAR for a header. I don't see your market being too large.

Take an ebay header for $100, modify it yourself or the exhaust shop to fit ~$75-100, ceramic coat it $150. Way cheaper and the option I would see most people going.

              Just giving an honest opinion.

I'd consider that if it came with the down pipe cat and ran straight to the back with flanged back to bolt up any exhoust muffler. basically everything exept the c-back.

If not people are looking at 2k+ to 3K for an exhoust complete which I dont see my self spending for an exhoust.

                  I appreciate everyones opinions.

I know people that have shelled out $2500 plus for a k______k____ (fill in the blanks) header that didn't fit with welds that I wouldnt have let anyone but the scrap bin see. For me to invest my time in doing it Im going to need to charge over $1000.

This is a sideline business for me, so Im never going to make money if I lower the price and up the quantity, because that just won't happen. I don't think $1000 plus for a quality designed and built header is un-realistic. We will see what I can do on the price once I build the initial one.

In addition, I will be able to offer full exhaust system tailored to anyones needs since I will have a dedicated S54/E30 mockup car. So if you want a header with mid pipes running to the factory cat location, or you want a full 3.5" oval exhaust to the muffler of your choice, I will be able to do it.

I am close to a shop that does great ceramic coating as well. You can have a ready to install custom exhaust which has been built on a car so you can see how it fits before it ships to you.

I'd be down for a combo pack on everything depending on price, etc.

That sounds great! as it would save time having a ready exhoust.
