When shopping for an adapter harness for your swap you may be tempted to shop based on price, but there are other things to consider.

Here’s a breakdown of the differences between Andrew’s harnesses from Harvey Racing and the competition.

-Higher quality construction

-Genuine BMW connectors (others often use 3rd party or homemade 3D printed connectors)

-Metric high temperature wire imported from Europe that matches BMW OEM wire (others use cheaper AWG wire which does not properly match the connectors, the wrong sizes may not adequately handle circuits, and may not be high temperature which would be unsuitable for the engine bay.)

-Better wire lengths (matched to original harnesses)

-Premium Kester brand lead-free solder (3% silver) added to ring terminals and large connector pins to improve connections and seal out moisture.

-Premium 3M brand heat-shrink and high quality braided sleeving to protect wires

-Splashproof fuse holders protect important circuits (others may not include any fuses to protect circuits)
