    S54 rebuild problems

Hi guys! I'm rebuilding S54 with forged pistons and rods and today reveived rods from Pure Perfomance from Australia. There is one problem with locks for bearings, they are different from stock- like on this picture, any ideas how install it? I think in this case stoppers for bearings won't work and they can spun?
    For example like on stock:

    any ideas? sent it back?

Not sure but did you contact them and ask why the lack of locking bearings?

Contact the seller/manufacturer. Some race rods/bearings don't have any locating tangs at all.

Tangs are to locate them, not to keep from spinning. The boundary layer of oil between the crank/bearing is what keeps them from spinning.

EDIT: Many stock mfgr's have double cuts, specially with modern broken cap design.

They aren't necessary if designed that way, however i have yet to see a production engine without them.
