    OBDII Connector to ECU

    Hi Guys!

i bought a s54 form a totaled car, so i went and removed the ECU harness by cutting everything!

i already got the wires together, but can't find were to connect the OBDII Port to the ECU.

    can't find any e46 schematics!

can someone help me out by telling me where to wire each OBD II port cable?!?

    thanks!

it has to be internet explorer and you need to make sure your java is up to date.

          u the man!!

          hahaha

someone said in another forum that the cluster translated the info for the ECU... in my case, i don't have a cluster, how do i connect things so someone can flash it remotely?

          thanks!

you don't need a cluster to flash the DME. either you were reading about something else, or they were mistaken.

all you need is power (pin 1 and 16), ground, and K-line at the OBDII port and you should be able to use it to flash.

so the OBD II only communicates with the ECU by the white/violet cable?

just one cable does the entire flash and stuff?

                thats cool...
