accelerator pedal position sensor problem after m54 swap

Hi, Guys!!!


Ihave a swaped M54B25 into my e30. I've had troubles with the accelerator pedal position sensor. With ignition ON pedal work perfect ot live data, after start and run at idle pedal not working. The car donor is 2003 E39 with auto transmission with EWS 3. With BMW scanner 1.4 in IMMO put it to Manual. Search at advice where is the problem.

I had the same problem. It is the brake pedal switch if you have connected everything else properly. You got to have INPA and watch the data, it will tell you "brake switch on/off and clutch pedal on/off" you must make both work. Then clear "all adaptions".

There is no clutch pedal switch, only brake pedal switch. Тhe clutch switch is not only to permit start engine? With brake on/off no difference

Car was an e39 with auto trans. It wouldn't have had a clutch switch.

Does it need one now that the auto trans is gone?
