    S54 Racecar Tuning...

Highest HP M3 ever on our Dyno
E46 M3, BW headers and Race Exhaust, Intake and stock airbox:
Car came in with a mildly modded by TRM stock tune and put down the baseline numbers which are the highest baseline weve ever seen. After tuning we ended up at 344whp!! Insanity!!! Dont expect this from every S54

Cluster reads 125k but motor had been swapped in this car at some point so no real history :(

is that dip in the 3k range normal on all S54s?

My S52 does that and I'm pretty sure it's because the distance from the end of the headers to the Y-pipe is too long.

No. Im assuming this one does it because of the aggressive nature of the headers. It was either that or really weird wheelspin on the dyno rollers. (car was on Rcomp slicks)

You sure there's no cams in that engine? Very impressive results for sure. I can't friggin wait to get mine running.

Mine has a much bigger dip down low, but I think it's because my merge is too close to the headers. Mine basically goes straight from header downtubes into NASCAR style mege collector. The ramp up to max torque is ridiculously steep, but it doesn't make much power yet :)

With the power difference between this and all the other S54s weve tuned (which range from 280-317 after tuning) i wouldnt be surprised but it is seemingly unopened and the customer stands behind that as well.

Vanos changes can help 'fudge' the dip but exhaust setup is everything on S54s :P

yeah the merge is too close to the engine, for sure its the BW exhaust ive seen it on several other cars with similar style exhausts which are alot worse, i gather because the tuner hasnt tried to compensate with vanos on the other cars (doesnt matter so much caus racecar).

nevertheless on the street id give up some upstairs for no dip downstairs by using a better exhaust

if you have a while this one to

Vanos tuning is needed for max top end power....
                        Those are good reads!

A couple guys are over 360 whp with cams and an exhaust. Still a healthy motor.

Would love to see one of them on our dyno. Again looking at our thread (although we havent seen any with cams) this is miles above the highest..
