Adding Additional Coolant Temp Sensor on M54

Just completed M54B30 swap into my E30. Going to run a Holley standalone dash that I have already purchased. Installation of dash/gauges is simple but I need some advice on where to install an additional temperature sensor. I would prefer not to put it in the radiator as I would like to get engine coolant temperature and not radiator coolant temperature. I need to retain the original sensor under the intake for my DME. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Many thanks in advance.

I've also been thinking about this. I want to run a separate water temp gauge, but need a place to tap into.

I think the 5 series E39 has a temp sensor the same size and spec which is a dual sensor. You could replace the existing one and have the second output for the dash

      PN's: 3148100001 and 12521703571

        ORLY?

Great find! Try 13621703993 ("Double Temperature Switch") for the sensor, though. 12521703571 is correct for the pigtail
